Deputy Commander for operations of an organization consisting of 22k Soldiers, responsible for the day to day management of training, readiness, and subsequent deployment and conduct of combat operations integrating 11 NATO and Partnered Nations in Afghanistan.

Executive Officer, for the Commander, ISAF Joint Command, Kabul, Afghanistan
2009 – 2010

Senior Advisor to the Commander during the establishment of the ISAF Joint Command in Afghanistan, resulting in the synchronization of military resources and effects including all US Joint capabilities, 54 troop contributing nations and the emerging Afghan National Security Forces.

2008 – 2009

Directly responsible to the Secretary of the Army and Army senior leadership for all Senate congressional matters; communicates, coordinates and synchronizes policies, programs and legislative objectives and provides advice on building effective relationships with Senate members, staff and oversight committees.

Commander – 4th Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Khost, Afghanistan
2006 – 2008

Command of the largest brigade in the Army during combat operations in Afghanistan; responsible for conducting combat operations in Eastern Afghanistan across 7 Provinces; led, trained and fought a Task Force consisting of over 6400 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and 3 NATO Units.


Previous Experience

Extensive combat and operational experience including Operation Just Cause (Panama), Operation Desert Storm (Iraq), Operation Guardian Assistance (Africa), Operation Guardian Retrieval (Africa), and (x4) Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. Led or performed as a senior director in multiple Joint and Combined organizations in peacetime and combat at every level of warfare. Multiple worldwide assignments
